What does water mean to you?

To create awareness regarding water's importance, the United Nations declared March 22 as World Water Day.

World Water Day celebrates water and raises awareness of the global water crisis. A core focus is to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 6: water and sanitation for all by 2030.

The theme of World Water Day 2021 is valuing water.

Eight years ago, during its rebranding, water's central importance about life was already an essential part of the European Water Association brand's development.

In June 2013, EurEau, the voice of European operators of drinking water and sanitation services, gave itself a new brand identity and a new slogan: "Water Matters".

EurEau represents national drinking and wastewater service providers from 29 countries, both private and public sectors.

EurEau's vision for the future is one where there is enough clean water for all uses, where society handles its water with care so that only necessary treatment is carried out, and where drinking and wastewater services are professionally and efficiently delivered.

The new branding of EurEau resulted from an exciting collaboration process between EurEau and the communication agency Page in extremis.
