When digital innovation meets strategic communication, real impact happens. That was the spirit behind our collaboration with CECE on the EU-funded Digiplace project—the first European initiative supported by DG CONNECT to drive the digital transformation of the construction industry.
CECE, the voice of the European construction equipment industry, played a leading role in bringing together a vast network of stakeholders across Europe. As communication partners, our mission at #inextremis was clear: help give visibility, structure and coherence to a bold and complex project while ensuring the message remained accessible and relevant for all industry actors.
Digiplace wasn’t just another EU project—it marked a turning point. For the first time, digitalisation in construction received support from DG CONNECT, highlighting the importance of this industry in Europe’s digital transition. The project gathered industry leaders, digital experts, public authorities and research institutions to lay the foundations for a future Digital Platform for Construction—a reference framework enabling innovation, collaboration and efficiency across the entire construction ecosystem.
From the early stages of the project to the final outputs, our collaboration with the CECE communications team was defined by open dialogue, strategic alignment, and a shared ambition to make every communication action meaningful.
Together, we developed a set of consistent and engaging digital materials: infographics, website content and online reports—always keeping the stakeholders in mind. However, the highlight of our collaboration was the final digital report. This comprehensive online booklet captures the essence of Digiplace and its outcomes in a clear, visual and impactful format.

We’re proud to say the Digiplace final report is a best-practice example of how EU project results can be communicated compellingly—highlighting value and providing a smooth user experience. It results from a close and productive partnership between our creative team and the CECE experts, who were deeply involved in every step.
At #inextremis, communication is a strategic tool, not a last-minute deliverable. Digiplace shows what’s possible when a communication agency is involved early, collaborates closely with the project team, and brings creative rigour to complex policy and innovation topics.
If your association or EU-funded project needs a communications partner who can help make sense of complexity and turn ideas into engaging content, let’s talk.
