BRUGEL has an essential role to play as a regulator on the energy market and in the water sector.
Created in 2007, BRUGEL regulates and monitors the energy market in the Brussels-Capital Region. BRUGEL ensures that the distribution network is efficient, accessible and reliable for consumers and producers. BRUGEL is committed to the safe operation of the market, a smart grid and vigilant consumer protection.
In 2017, BRUGEL saw its skills expand and received new missions concerning the water sector: monitoring water price, approving general conditions, setting up a mediation.
As a regulator, BRUGEL provides advice to the Government and Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region and collaborates with all energy markets stakeholders. BRUGEL also guides public authorities on the operation of the regional water sector.
To define the significant orientations that will guide its development over the coming years, BRUGEL has initiated a global reflection on its vision, mission, values , and strategic axes.
The result of this strategic reflection is crystallised in a comprehensive brochure showing the framework in which BRUGEL will register its future work.
The creative brochure is accompanied by a video message from Thibaut Georgin, President of BRUGEL, which explains the reflection work carried out by the entire Board of Directors. The President reviews the main strategic axes and the plan that will be deployed collectively to achieve the objectives.
