Our agency, #inextremis, partnered with Platforma’s communication team to launch the digital and PDF study, “European Territories Localise the SDGs – The Time for Impact is Running Out”. This study captures insights from 46 associations across 31 European countries, showcasing challenges and achievements in implementing the SDGs.

Championing Local Governments

Imagine a group of dedicated European mayors and councillors travelling to New York from 8 to 17 July. Their mission is to voice the importance of local and regional governments at the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF). In the study’s foreword, Tengiz Mtvarelishvili, Chair of Telavi City Council in Georgia, acknowledges the delays in achieving the 17 SDGs but expresses hope. Local and regional governments, being closest to citizens, are uniquely positioned to find tailored solutions.
