The Employers Young Professionals’ Academy (EYPA), a flagship initiative of the International Training Centre of the ILO, has been co-financed by the European Union and developed in partnership with Business Europe over the past six years.
The EYPA programme focuses on training young professionals from employers’ and business members’ organisations across Europe, enhancing their abilities to represent employer interests and engage in economic, social policy debates, and social dialogue.
Over 200 individuals from 33 European countries have participated in the EYPA, with a significant representation of women (60%) and a highly educated cohort where 90% hold a master’s degree or higher.
The programme has effectively enhanced participants’ skills, with 70% reporting improved networking abilities, 60% gaining deeper insights into EU policy, and 54% enhancing their understanding of social dialogue.
Feedback from participants indicates a high level of satisfaction, noting that the skills and knowledge acquired have positively impacted their professional performance and contributed to strengthening their organisations’ capacity in negotiation and communication.
