Coordinated by citydev.brussels, the IRISPHERE programme is designed to propel the circular economy within the Brussels-Capital Region to new heights. With a dual mission, it seeks to guide local businesses in enhancing material cycles and bolster regional cooperation among enterprises.

The IRISPHERE initiative is spearheaded by a consortium of Brussels-based innovators in the circular economy, including notable organisations such as citydev.brussels, EcoRes, Lateral Thinking Factory, Greenloop, BECI, La Ferme Nos Pilifs, Bruxelles Environnement, Bruxelles-Propreté, the Port of Brussels, the Communauté Portuaire Bruxelloise, atrium.brussels, and greentech.brussels by impulse.brussels.

Supported by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Brussels-Capital Region, IRISPHERE offers complimentary services to enhance your company’s circularity.

The programme aims to pioneer industrial ecology on an urban scale. Drawing inspiration from natural ecosystems, it aims to restructure economic activities and their management flows. The cornerstone of this strategy is the establishment of industrial symbiosis among companies, which is expected to improve their financial performance and environmental impact.
